Feeling Flush....
I tell you what, as a groundhog it seems like you catch a lot of crap for what the weather does or doesn't do. People want to dump all over you for it, this isn't a topic I would sh*t you about.
The news coverage about my shadow is good but it sure isn't 2 ply. Hover around your computer to stay updated about our event!

Check Out That Caboose!!!
Some people have been spending more time with a companion with a wider backside than they have before, I am just now taking that step.
I just picked up my fat bike today, a sweet Salsa Mukluk and it is ready to roll on some gravel and single track. I told my wife I was thinking about calling it J Lo because this bike has some "junk in the trunk", she thought that was funny but not too crazy about me riding a bike with that name. 18 years of marriage tells me I better go with my wife on this one :-)
Thanks to Cycle City Bike And Running Company for getting me hooked up with another great ride!

What Is This All About?
Maybe some of you are new to gravel grinding and are wondering what this is all about, I was in those shoes myself a while back. The first time I went on a gravel ride was a group ride that Pappy had put together, I really wasn't sure about it but I always enjoy a group ride. At that point I was riding my mountain bike because I didn't have a cross bike yet. I'll be honest, I wasn't very far into the ride and I was thinking to myself "I don't get it, what is the attraction to riding gravel?". I continued on and went on more rides that season and with each ride I grew to enjoy it more and more. Now it is one of my favorite riding options, in our neck of the woods there are so many gravel options with miles and miles available. Now I find myself looking at almost every gravel road as I am riding in a car, the ones that seem to disappear into a tree covered lane are the ones that really get my attention.
I'm glad I didn't go with my first feeling about it!

Chucky Is Feeling Festive This Time Of Year
Tis the season for Holiday cheer, probably eating too much, the hustle and bustle of shopping and of course for RIDING GRAVEL!!! Just wanted to get a date to you out there for the upcoming Chucky's Challenge which will be held Saturday February 7, 2015.
Don't be caught like a groundhog in the headlights, get your gravel rolling, or for those of you in great fitness already, keep your gravel rolling! I am speaking to myself in the first comment, everyday is a new day and a great opportunity to get rolling. If you are a seasoned gravel vet or a newbie this is a great event to come and enjoy our Greenhills Gravel.
Last year we had unfortunate weather that prohibited our event, some of the area is very remote and access just was not an option so we decided to delay and eventually had to cancel. Keep informed by checking out this site often as I hope to have more tidbits as the time draws near.
